I'm posting this mostly as a reference fit for new corp recruits.
This fit can be used by just about any Caldari combat pilot on creation. It has 20 km+ range with even minimal skills, decent defense and enough damage to get through lvl 1 missions.
This fit improves quickly with the use of named mods. The low skill requirements of the T2 small shield booster, and the significant upgrade in performance makes this a priority. Other significant upgrades would be to use named weapons, and non-basic resistance amplifiers.
