I made this loadout pretty much to Zlicknarch's specification, but it's a lot easier in the skill department. I get about 13k shields and a ~180 second recharge, but I never really did the number crunching.

This is a good idea for players just getting into the BC area. I can do every L3 mission in this setup including The Blockade. I haven't tried L4s yet, but I might go give it a test run once I have all the T2s.

true. I want to do that but my missile/engineering skills are awful. once I get them up, I plan on adding better-ranged missiles. as it stands, I pretty much try and get close up anyway - I mainly use EMP at this point as I found it to be the most efficient. with trajectory analysis at 4, the falloff with EMP on the T2s is about 32km (I forget the exact number). it's pretty slow, so I just approach each ship and start firing away. eventually they turn 180 degrees on me to get into their kite range and I just pound them. The useful aspect of the standard missiles is that they allow me to drop the 3 hammerheads and the two missiles on the fast frigs orbiting me at 5-7km which usually takes them out at about the same rate that I jack the bigger ships.
