Why would this need a point? A point is quite useless at 50km. besides there will be more than enough tackle in the rest of the gang. it's a balance between usefull and safe.

fly a rifter or something then... tackle shit so it cant get back to the gate, an extra 150 dps is really not offering much to help out.

My pronblem with a rifter is that you'll get popped almost instantly by any Battlecruiser, very fast at least, you'll just lose even more ISK. I made this ship when I had only about 30 mill left. And because of the way it works, it's managed to stay alive in many dangerous situations.

True, 150 dps is nothing. But it's a ticket to participation at least. better than sitting in station without ISK or a ship. Not being able to do anything Untill, the deplayment is over, and you can start ratting again.

With a can-do attitude like this, you'd be welcome in my corp. +1

Once you get a little more isk, you *could*:
replace the T1 ancillary current router rig with a T2
fit 2 polycarbs
insert a PG-1 implant
replace the TE with another gyro

gives 1016 volley, 2070m/s and 162 dps before overheat while hitting at 50km if you can accept being 30% into falloff.

It would be a laugh to watch a few of these pop ships on a wormhole camp :-)

don't forget tough, that 30% fall-off roughly takes away 10-15% damage. still acceptable, if you think it's safe to get in a little closer

To be honest you would be better off with a E war frig/E war cruiser for the cost. but if you don't have much isk, and can only do dps this should do fine. And I can see a group of these guys being fun to mess around with.

sniper thrasher, I've tested this a few times while gatecamping in small gangs in 0.0, and it works surprisingly well. Even against cruisers it packs quite a punch every volley. And the best thing is that people completely ignore you because your so far off. It makes for a great KM whore if you're out of ISK and still want to join in the action without losing your ship.

It's perma MWD, and to be honest all you have to do is orbit and turn it on. just want to be carfull when there's fast tackle on the field. though they will most likely ignore you anyways, because you're cheap and far away.
