I made this fit after my friend killed a shield gank Talos in high sec. I glanced at the killmail and tought I could do better. My first goal was to make a better tank for the Talos, but when I experimented I came up with this fit, I recon it has good DPS, with a decent tank, (don't expect too much from a tier 3). It comes down to this: DPS:(Cold/Hot) 1.014/1.151 EHP: 38K Max speed: 1.8 KM/s (Hot) Tracking speed: -With 2 Tracking scripts: 0.155 rad/s To put this in perspective, a 425mm AC has 0.135 rad/s No web, frigates are delt with on the approach, With 2 tracking computers and nearly 5k of alpha you should be fine. That said, always start off at range, If the frigates are delt with you lose the scripts and just take some shots at the blob from a distance. Ofcourse you could just drop one of the TC's and switch to a web, but it makes the fight far less dynamic, and I hate that. cheers |

IMO you are much much better off with a shield tank talos. Talos main advantages is speed, dps, and agility. By armor plating that you are nerfing speed and agility, and with your fit you are also nerfing your dps by only having 1 mag stab. I know you have the IMO mandatory damage rig, I just don't see any reason to armor tank it this way. Additionally tracking computers / te's don't really help blasters a ton, as opposed to ac's.
Not a bad fit don't get me wrong, I'm just kind of walking through the reasons why I would shield tank it.

I personally hate the fact that you get a tiny 24k EHP, with 2 LSE's and 3 rigs. And don't forget that those alos boost sig radius. I say you're wasting the 2 mid slots that way. Thats the main reason I went with armor -
