How to fund this loadout with PLEX:

Current estimated total value, ISK: 282,516,492
Sell this many PLEX* to fund: 1
Convert this many ETC to PLEX: 1 Purchase ETC here

*You may only sell PLEX for ISK via the CCP Secure Transfer Method
You need to upgrade your Flash Player
I've worked on this setup as a Fully tanked Heavy Interdictor, but still able to run all active modules permanent, and even if it gets cap drained it still has a very nice tank. It could save you in many situations, but wont keep you alive if you get primary by a well organized big DPS fleet.
The Heavy Interdictors do not get primary in most fights, but even if you do get primary you will be able to keep your bubble running while your fleet mates kill the enamy fleet.
It is a tight setup. but it works and it is uber.

With my current Skillplan i am working on now, i will have 80,128 Effective HP and the Def rating at 610

And also, the Flux Colis in Low slots are alternative to 2x extra Power Diagnostic system II, it brings the Def ratio down to 545, but on my skillplan the Effective HP goes up to 116,936 HP

All and ONLY nesseseary skills i have set on 5, and the rest of the affected skills to 4 to minimize training time

Could i please get some more comments or opininons... would be nice with some feedback

    Hmm, been doing some fiddling:

Highs: 5 425mm AC II, WDFG
Mids: 3 LSEII, 1 Thermal resist amp II, 1 Explosive resist amp II, 1 Kinetic Hardener II
Lows: 1 PDS II, 3 SPR II
    Rigs: 2 Shield extender rigs

Barring the fact that I cant use T2 Medium AC or T2 Minnie Cruisers (I fly the Phobos) I have used my skills in EFT, gives:

    Resists: 81/82/80/83
    Effective HP: 95232
    Defense 551
Cap will run active modules for 32 minutes, if not being targeted and the hardener is off it will run the WDFG permanently. Being Primarily an armour tanker you can guess my shield tanking skills are obviously not as high as they could be.

All level 5 skills results in:
    resists: 81/84/80/84
    Effective HP: 107520
    Defense: 670
    Cap: Permarun

EDIT: I dont like shield flux coils, true they do increase shield recharge, but they also decrease shield total so they are somewhat counterproductive.

Well with my setup you have just under 90% on all resists, and i CAN perma run everythin, not 30min, but permanently... and it has a shield recharge time of less than 250 seconds

But altho your setup is better if the Broadsword were to be cap drained i think with passive resists... not sure tho, havent tryed it out

And also for those who dislike Flux coils, you can alternative put on 2 extra Power diagnostics systems, increases shield recharge a little and all the other recharges, aswell as it does not diminish your total shield HP

The higher buffer also aids survivability in fleet situations, especially in the event supercaps are fielded. An 80% omni tank with 95k effective hitpoints  will survive several doomsdays :P

A little more playing about, adding your resist mods to my setup, putting 2 SPR's and 2 PDS in the lows increased the resists significantly. With my shield skills (not the best) took me to 84% minimum resists with 127k effective hitpoints. Peak recharge rate according to EFT was 89.26 ps. Cap lasts a little over 12 minutes with everything running, which leats face it, is plenty long enough for most fights.

I am not knocking your loadout, the higher shield recharge rate would be more useful in small gangs, just offering potential alternatives for larger actions where you may want a larger buffer to survive initial alpha.

I think you are absolutely right... The more shield HP the better as a survival buffer, and still with very nice resists, and decent shield recharge... with a 127k effective HP you will live through many fights before you get killed, unless you are one very unlucky fighter.

Thanks for the good feedback, helps me alot, since this is my first setup for Broadsword... ^^

But i have currently only made this setup on EFT, and i am not yet ready to give it high ratings till i have tryed in a real ingame fight, because i have seen that EFT statistcis often differ very much to real fights ingame. So im am focusing my training time towards this setup, but will give it a real grade when i have seen it in action by my own hand.

And it indeed look very promising...

I just made a slight change in the original setup of mine, i swaped 1 of the Flux Coils to a Power Diagnostic System II. it made the Effective HP to 101k, and the Def ratio is still only just below 600. I think that is the most optimal setup of everything we have discussed... And still has just about 90% resists with 11k total Shield!

Would an AB or MWD be better than the passive hardener?
