Nothing wrong with all boosts - the safest way to use an orca is to have the miners sit on top of you and move ore straight to your corp hold rather than ever dropping cans anyway.

However, i do believe a 3rd invuln is better for your tank than the second shield extender....and I never undock my orca without a damage control, but perhaps I'm just paranoid v0v

Rigs and low-slots are your call...the 3rd invuln is mandatory before I'll +1...and even then its just a cookie cutter fit, probably not worth the effort.

    I wouldn't say a 3rd Invuln is mandatory.
Personally I like to have a DC fitted, and for weekends the addition of a 1600mm rolled tung.

Depending on how you use this you could always remove the Harvester cap efficiency and go for either Shield harmonizing or Shield efficiency mods instead. But thats is entirely dependent on how the hulks are fitted and on how well your trained in Siege warfare.
Worked well for my buffer fits with the Harmonizing mod in there, 3 years and never been successfully ganked, a few tried and failed. (Core skills FTW)

Invuln gives more ehp and more sustained tank, and should still be cap stable with halfway decent skills.....Obviously your tank is rarely a factor in an orca.....but there is absolutely NO down-side to the 3rd invuln, and there ARE some up-sides....so its mandatory if he wants a +1 from me :crazy2:

As for the 1600mm plate....if you want to use both low slots for tanking you are FAR better off with a reinforced bulkhead II in the second slot - the Orca has MASSIVE hull hp already, the DC resists give it a MASSIVE buffer, and since the reinforced bulkhead gives a % boost instead of a fixed number it provides another MASSIVE ehp boost, where a plate provides only a minor boost.

On the topic of orcas, I just want to know some basics before I get my own/rate yours. I'd use mine for hauling awesomeness from hub to hub, and I hear that the corp hangar can't be scanned. How much m3 fits in the corp hangar?

If I recall correctly...I think its 40km3 corp hangar space, 50km3 ore hold space (also unscannable...but unprocessed ore only), 500k ship bay space(useful for moving ships/ammo of course), and 30k unmodified scannable cargo space - which can of course be expanded to 50-60k at the expense of most of your ehp if you so desire.

Orca is SLOW...but not as bad as a freighter - I highly recommend it for transportation of large quantities of whatever, when  you either don't need the space of a freighter or need a little extra security for your bulk items.

I'm thinking of getting both a charon and an orca, charon for just moving like dozens of frigates and cruisers around that are cheap and orca for being careful with shiny juices.

As for the fit it looks fine, so +1

400k ship maintenance bay, 40k corp hangar, 50k (just over) cargo hold with 3x cargo rigs and no expanders in the lows. I fly mine as a hauler like Eld does, so screw that align time, I put a 100mn MWD on it so my lows are a DC and PDU. Love that 10-second align time.

OP: Unless your Hulk pilots have total crap for cap skills, the Hulk is perfectly cap stable on it's own, so the cap link is more or less useless. Fit a tractor as suggested.

Was about to comment on the Shield tank tag, but you actually managed to gimp the structure tank enough to let most of the tank come from the shields
