How to fund this loadout with PLEX:

Current estimated total value, ISK: 1,485,355
Sell this many PLEX* to fund: 1
Convert this many ETC to PLEX: 1 Purchase ETC here

*You may only sell PLEX for ISK via the CCP Secure Transfer Method
You need to upgrade your Flash Player
This setup is cheap(under 1m isk) and a new player can train to use the ship and modules within 4-5 days.

The capacitor lasts a full minute with the shield booster turned on and with it off the capacitor will stay up forever.

The resists aren't very good but for a effective new player ship it will do fine against the high sec npc pirates and missions. The DPS is good to kill the pirates quickly so you shouldnt need to use the booster until you meet a big group of rats(pirates).

Im not expecting to get rated but I have noticed that there aren't very many ship fittings low enough calibur for the new players, Thus why I posted this and will post more. Hopefully you more experienced ship fitter's will help me post some.

If you do post some add 'New Player Series' to the title.

EDIT: Mistakenly put hybrids on a Minmatar Ship. Besides that fact, Everything said remains true.

Not bad. New pilots could really benefit from this "Series". Keep it up. Only things i can suggest would be named things, possibly a recharger instead of the battery. Kinda early in my day, unsure if it'd modify the training time, admittedly. Most named equip is fairly cheap, should be able to replace the non-named with a slightly better named variety for 50,000 more isk or so. If you got the extra money to burn.

I was striving for short time useage to get the new player into a cheap but yet effective ship for him/her to start their days in EVE. I will look into the lowly quality named stuff and see about making changes if the price isn't to terrible much.

    whats with the hybrids???
I had these saved in my ship fitter and just imported them without double checking.
Your down vote was uncalled for, I would've changed it once I saw your post.

thank you! this is exactly what I was looking for, being a new player. every loadout I've seen so far involved all T2 stuff that I won't be rigging up for a long time.

Why 125mm and not 200mm cannons?  Just 'cause they're cheaper?

No, the 125mm's have a faster tracking speed :)

This fit is also VERY upgradeable. As you get your skills up, throw on some of the T2 items, and the ship will stay with you for a long time.

how has this got so many thumbs up? this fit is awful, I mean actually horrendous, mix of active and passive tanking,no speed mod and a cap power relay (reduces shield boost amount FYI)?
Here's one i gave to a friend of mine who found it perfect for lvl 1 missions and even a few lvl 2's

    [Thrasher, PVE]
    Gyrostabilizer I
    Gyrostabilizer I

    1MN Afterburner I
    Medium Shield Extender I

    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
    150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S
Standard Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile

    [empty rig slot]
    [empty rig slot]
    [empty rig slot]

This fit does require SOME fitting skills (electronics 3, weapon upgrades 3, shield upgrades 3, engineering 4 (or shield upgrades 4 engineering 3)

Completely cap stable even with no cap skills, 70dps with the no skills option (around 150 dps with ok skills, 50 more than the one posted) The passive recharge and buffer keeps you alive easily in level 1 missions and the ab means you aren't slowboating everywhere.

    You mean after this?

I would suggest working your way towards a rupture next if your looking for PVE or a good PVP DPS cruiser.  I like this new player series thing, and I'll try to come up with a good 'new player' rupture fit in the next few days.

OK Lathlrilanq, gonna try your fitting out as I have some skills, but you seem to have missed the point of SaraNiko who was setting a ship up for a BEGINNER! i.e. few skills required
