Without res ( 2 EANM ) the stranded thorax would rip you to pieces. Take the mags stabs off and put couple res mods. 3 fitting rigs is bad try going for T2 AB and replace what rigs you can with Trimarks.  Load blasters with null and try to orbit around 2-8k This will keep you under their tracking.  Good attempt.

I would take this thing against any thorax toe to toe and bet money on the vex ... it does equal dps and the 2 jamming drones will ruin the thorax and his blasters day ... even if the thorax uses 5 jamming drones himself the ogre II's will have him into deep armor before the jamming stalemate ends and if i kill a few of his ecm drones during the jamfest the vexor is most likely going to win.

even if the thorax has best resists he can get with a 1600 plate the fight will be over by the end of the 2nd jam cycle from the vex's 2 ecm drones if the thorax uses hammerheads instead of ecm.

Trimarks are good for a nice buffer but slow the ship down far too much .... you will only catch ships bigger then you and even then a cane can outrun you or chase you down if you have armor rigs on.

Also the Immense dps gain from this little ship setting it up for damage compared to the minor buffer to be gained from setting it up for defense is not using this ships strengths properly IMO.

besides its got a 1600 plate and a DC on a t1 cruiser thats enough buffer already. but that may be just my prefrence =) to each his own

By the way this is fit is not supposed to be some uber tank ... its got max dps with a minimum amount of acceptable buffer. for a more speedy fit with a tad more dps check my shield fit vex.

first of all, you'll loose this. Cause you loose most of the dronefights, you know, you can't stand against 5 Warriors/5 Hobs with your Dronesetup i guess.
Then, everything with explo-dmg will rip trough your inexistent explotank. Raw HP-Buffer isn't all, you know?
After all, 2 Ogre is good against bigger sized targets, against others this might be just paper-dps. And you need to have some backup on drones, so i would go with something like 7 Meddrones, 6 smalldrones or even 5med, 2x5small


I know this fit, or better, something like that can do shitloads of dmg (proofed by alliancetournament '10 ^^)
