  Look into shield fits. You can do the same thing but faster and with more tank (50k omni ehp) and better resists, plus cram neutrons on there and break a thousand DPS overloaded. All you lose is the web. edit: oh and the cap booster i guess

  you lose a web and a booster with the shield fit ARGHHH
  
  it does gain about 45 dps (870 base)   and 100ms
   
  but the cap runs dry much to fast and very vulnerable to neuts ... and no web thats a no no ... i like this one better .. thanks for your input though =)

  Your not meant to be there long, Hence why its "Gank" The idea is to warp in murder a single person (Or a few with a small gang) and please consider another option, thanks! ASAP so basicly "Gank" means Easy Kill

  I don't know if you guys realize, but the majority of PVP ships don't have cap boosters. Practically anything will die horribly if there are enough neuts involved. This ship's cap stability isn't even that bad, it's 4.5 minutes with guns and invuln running, plus you've got a cap mod on there.
  
  This ship is even tagged as "gank". The whole point is to kill stuff as fast as you can and get out, and when you're lumbering around with a huge-ass plate on your ship it's kinda hard to do that well.

  Um...actually many (if not most) blaster and laser pvp fits DO have a cap booster.  The same goes for any active tank pvp fit bigger than a frigate.  Not sure where you are getting your information from...

  ya the shield fit last 4 minutes if the target magically appears in blaster range which is probably nice for station fights  ... with mwd u got like less then 2 minutes and usually your going to be burning mwd around a bit before you actually engage.
  
  Shield fit has no booster ... so if you burn to your target you got less then a few minutes before your cap is toast along with your invuln and your speed dps and buffer go to 0 ... and all the advantages of the shield fit are negated by a single neut ... and to be honest i get neuted by someone in almost every gang fight .... also if your fighting multiple ships the shield fit brutix is gunna be dead in the water in a few minutes with no cap.
  
  And plus its got no web ... any hurricane or drake WITH a webber can hold the shield fit at web range and hit it easy while the medium blasters will hit for lower then ideal or miss at 9-10km  ... heavy neutrons optimal is 3375 + 3125 falloff with max skills and you WILL be webbed and scrammed and will not be able to retaliate very well if they set their optimal properly fighting against a blaster boat and no web to pin them down... so unless your going against another blaster boat your gunna need the web as well. blaster boats need webs to keep the target in their optimals as much as they do from getting away. 
  
  They both have their pro's and con's i guess but i still prefer this one over the shield fit =)The shield fit is good for certain situations like station fights or when you know the fight is gunna be short and you can dictate the engagement but i will still be using the plate fit when i go roaming.  Thanks for the input

  putting more resists on this will gimp the DPS ...you can slap an eanm II and swap drones for more lasting power as per my suggestion in the description ... it is not meant to be a super tank but more of very high dps for a BC with a minimal amount of acceptable buffer.
  
  The Shield variant is also very nice and based on the feedback from people about shieldfits i have looked into it and like them as well as they have some nice benefits and will be attempting to make the best fits i can for plate and shield variants both although i think widdershins nailed it right on the money in his response .... although there is alot of situations where you will wish you had the web and booster they are both good and have their uses.

  See, here's where I still disagree with the cap-booster-over-EHP philosophy:
  
  Your argument is that after "a couple minutes" you run out of cap with the shield gank fit. That's a given. The problem with using that as the argument for flying the armor one is that you're assuming that nobody is shooting at you. If it's taking you "a couple minutes" to kill someone, clearly things have gone south and you should have brought a different ship or not engaged, and now you're going to die sooner because you aren't as effective at killing them (less dps/speed) and blow up sooner yourself, whether or not you have cap (less ehp).

  So I hate to better this fit like I did with the thorax, but here goes (It's a little gentler) :-p
  
  Drop an ACR for a burst rig and then drop the cap booster to a small t2 one. You'll bump your gun DPS by about 20 to 686 without heat and 948 total with heat and drones.
