Your lock time is crap. Fit a sensor booster.

The Noctis has great bonusses for salvaging on it, use them!
In combination with those salvage tackles, you are salvaging faster then you can tractor, so lose 1 / 2 salvagers and switch them for tractors.
I have basicly the same fit and it rocks, it eats wrecks like they are pie :)

Posting a Noctis fit is, in itself, fail.  Noone needs to see a salvaging fit.  It's the new Drake.
But this iteration is pretty much how a salv ship should be fit, so I will not -1 it.

*EDIT*  I still just have a corpie or alt follow me in a salvage dessie through missions.  Time to go back to stn to drop off if necessary, and if you leave out the junk from looting and only take good stuff, you have plenty of room for loot/salvage from any level4 anyways.

How is the Noctis better?  Really, enlighten me because I haven't figured it out.

And a salvage Coercer is dirt cheap, not a good killmail, pretty much ignored instead of everyone wanting to kill one, etc, etc.

I don't know, what about 500km tractor beams and salvaging bonuses? (Well not that much, but it's pretty close)

Its 80 km w/ maxed skills.  And if you read my original post, a salvage dessie clears rooms as quickly as a mission ship can kill the rats.  So once again, what is the point?

Lazy is a powerful adversary... but don't forget the tractor beam velocity bonus. If you're going to mission then salvage it's worth it. Then there's the massive cargo when compared to most dessies, and the extra power grid...

Loads of reasons why it's better not so sure It's worth the training time though...

Pretty good fit.  The 5/3  TB/Salvager fit is a good idea, especially with those rigs (just checked the latest prices on T2 rigs... 184mil each?  Screw that!).

However, if you can fit one, I'd recommend a MWD vice an AB.  With the speed of the tractor beams, once the wrecks are in range of the salvagers you you can microwarp towards the farthest wrecks without outrunning the goods in tow.

Then again, MWD vs. AB is a style/personal taste point.  +1 anyway.

I would imagine these are handy in w-space, seeing as how :censored: -long it takes to salvage sleepers.

Considering all the failed noctis fits on here its nice to have a good one for the noobs to learn.

A buddy of mine just salvaged a sleepers mission with me in w-space using a noctis... and his noctis salvaged the entire site before I had time to salvage 3 ships.  I would say it IS useful.

For all the dicks who think they're too 1337 PvPers to be in the same room as a Noctis fit, piss off, ya bunch of snot-nosed punks. Is it an EVE ship? Then it deserves to have fits posted in BattleClinic. So  f***  off to lowsec and play meen eebil piewut in your oh-so-important CNR.

+1 Thanks for providing a good noctis fit. I could figure out the tractors/salvagers myself but hadn't thought about sensor booster. I have been salvaging in a cormorant for months now and doing well enough. I run a mission, go salvage then go run another mission. Granted, this isn't an inventive or trick fit, it's pretty cut and dried, but anyone just getting into noctis salvaging will appreciate it. (Like me, got the ship and skill book yesterday when a friend tossed an extra 20 million at me.)

You guys waving your epeen around have forgotten that you were new to the game once before. Cut the new guys some slack.

I just bought a noctis to salvage my brothers missions for him, and I had no idea what to fit in the other slots. So thanks for the good fit (I'm new to the game as well, searching through google resulted in a lot of negative fits but people said they were good, but assholes were just downvoting only because it was a noctis...) and it is already an awesome upgrade from trying to salvage in an Omen :P

I can't afford the good stuff yet, but hopefully soon!

Everyone either hates it or likes it, because its good to have a ship for noobs to fit. When "noobs can afford the 50m price tag for the ship, the 180m for the rigs they wouldn't be considered noobs any more. So by that point they should be able to come up with some sort of use for the ship that only has one use. - 1

-1 to you for being an elitist.  That can be said for any popular fit on BC.  If you aren't a noob you know how to fit a ship.  Okay.  Then explain why there are ship fittings posted here?  BC is a reference, so this fitting is a good one to check to make sure you have the best fit.  It's rather elementary, sure, but there could be some rig or mid-slot debate and instead of dicking around trying to figure if it is better to use module A or module B, maybe having this here to EFT copy-paste even is handy.

I signed up just to say thanks for posting this, everyone is being a dick saying we don't need a Noctis fit. I just wanted to get some ideas, we know it's straight forward but it doesn't hurt to see other fits right?
