This has probably been done before but I'll just upload it anyway
Presenting : The ultimate piece in the carebear armoury THE GANKQUAL Based on a concept by The Orange [LMNU]. The Orange heroically sacrificed his smartbombing rorqual to stay off a Pandemic Legion assault on his then-alliance HTA's main station system. His valiant action bought enough time for several Carriers and Jump Freighters carrying billions of ISK of assets to evacuate. This fit takes that idea and basically makes it :censored: a curse until a retarded baby Gankqual is born. Stats (all level 5): 634 DPS with ogre IIs Neuts 3600 GJ of cap every 24 seconds at a range of 25.2 km Can tank 4425 DPS unsustained 188k shields with resists at 76/81/73/78 HOW IT WORKS You're familiar with a bait rorqual by now, and this is essentially the same but with more teeth. Positives : If anyone is stupid enough to try to solo gank it, they're dead It can tank your average roaming gang for enough time for your lovely support fleet to show up It's a gigantic Curse that can be Cyno'd and has lots more shields It has Miner Drones so you can do something while you wait Negatives : It's :censored: ing obviously bait, unless you actually set it up like a mining op and surround it with hulks and Orcas at some belt It's slow and ugly It needs Cynoing around so you can't use it as a roaming ship sadly ;( It's pretty damn weak It's worth noting that you shouldn't make a point to use this ship alot or you WILL be hunted, ganked and made to cry, but if you're bored, rich and very stupid this is the ticket to much lols Comments, thoughts, flames, -es, feel free This is not a troll fit so please do not lock it mods <3 However if it gets to 100 -es I will delete it Thankyou <333 UPDATE : Changed 2 Neuts to 2 smartbombs reducing neut capability to 2400 GJ/24s (100 GJ/s), added Mag. backup array. UPDATE : Changed 1 Smartbomb for 1 Med Neut after all, drones will still be popped quick enough and this way you minimize risk to your own drones and can keep them capped out easier (cheers marx), also swapped PDU for Reinforced Bulkhead, no EFT atm so dunno how that effects tank. Now for some fun; [[DBBBC's CHALLENGE]] If anyone posts 3 solo (or at the very least top damage AND over 40% of the damage AND final blow) Killmails using this ship in a lowsec (NOT Null/Wormhole - No bubbles allowed) on anything bigger than a cruiser I will give them a prize to be confirmed anon. (Ie when I renew my subscription) Be warned; the prize won't be alot, I am a poor scrubby half-carebear so it will probably be 5 Cruisers and a Battlecruiser of your choice or something like that. But if you want to piss around and get a little bit in return, the gauntlet is down! At least one or 2 large smartbombs + a cap recharger, I know its for pvp, but you need that extra cap. Stasis as well maybe. -

Consider some medium neuts though both for cap and more importantly for the cycle time so you can keep someone's cap at the floor. Maybe just drop one or two heavies for mediums and/or a small? Also, I immediately thought of smartbombs (probably because I can't get my mind off my beloved Disco Noctis ) but seriously it could go either way as you don't NEED them for dps and cause they are mutually exclusive with yr drones. anyway, +1 regardless of edits.
P.S. A scram (in addition to point) might not be the end of the world, so that you can potentially keep multiple targets pinned and/or keep things in close, so if a gang engages and then gets scared you don't have to miss out on KMs.
P.P.S. Who says this has to be bait? If I was skilled for this I would solo in it any day of the week.
P.P.P.S. I don't normally use so many emotes or colored text, it's just that I am so enthusiastic about this concept. -

Battle rorqual, taking it a step further than ever before. 1.5 bil on a lol fit, love it. If I had the skills to fly a Rorqual, I would definitely consider doing it for the lols.
I agree with 1 or 2 medium neuts for faster cycle times though, would be a nice change. -

Sadly the cap rigs add about 13 seconds of cap (lol.) and replacing a 3rd neut on top of the new smartbombs severely weakens its ability to kill battlecruisers. Sensor strength on a bog-standard rorqual is 115, which is massive, however I have done as you suggested and replaced a PDU with a Backup array and now the sensor strength stands at a MIGHTY 170! Try jamming THAT smelly little Rook!I AM IN LOVE!

thus and you want to hull tank on rorquals, 2 reinforced bulkheads would increase your EHP by around 800k. and is the warp disruptor really necessary? another invul field would increase shield EHP by about 20% -

5th invuln is excessive. I would say that if he doesn't have cap support he should drop the second Smart Bomb for a medium neut rather than for a cyno. That way the immense cycle time on the heavies doesn't prevent him from keeping someone's cap fully at the floor. Imho, using only bigger neuts to keep ships from activating a propmod long enough to escape and to counter a cap booster, often is problematic because of the cycle time. Ideally this should have a scram as well as a point but again I would just use this thing solo... possibly in OMS haha.
Also, I liek the sensor back array. -

This loadout has been updated - Swapped Smartbomb for Med Neut, was gonna swap PDU for Bulkhead but PDU benefits more overall, due to increase to cap & shield amount, and also shield recharge for what that's worth. If I was to use it in a gang I would swap out the Backup array for a Bulkhead.
As per the cyno, that's your perogative and would make it even better in most situations, but that would essentially make it just another bait rorqual, which is not what this is. If you really want one swap a Heavy neut for it, capkill rate is still pretty high with 3 neuts
@10ftcoke I think the disruptor is necessary cause I put points on all PVP ships as a compulsion. The risk of letting the prey escape is too great to warrant a fairly small boost in EHP. Plus, the 24km thing isn't an issue as a fast ship will have 0 cap and therefore 0 prop mod utilisation by the time they even know what's going on. And then it's just a matter of letting your Warrior IIs go to work (or Hammers/Ogres if you've hooked a bigger fish. All the same I appreciate the input :D

You are missing the point of this ship and maybe even EVE in general. This ship is for being epic and having fun... having people remember and compliment you for months or years after they fight you. You would be an anecdote that veterans tell their noob friends. This being on your KB would be a badge of epic

I would be like "man, once there was this dude who solo'd the shit out of a ton of people in a rorq before anyone stopped him. it was epic." Frankly, you should make videos and put them on youtube. It will be like the pvp mining barge videos except EXTREME EDITION!

I should mention you can also co-opt this ship for deep insertion capital gangs into hostile nullsec, fit it up with a clone vat bay instead of one of the large neuts and use it in tandem with some carriers (for storing ships) and you've got a (relatively) low-cost easy to deploy arsekicker for harassing miners in Omist, Period Basis, Branch, Cobalt Edge or any other crazy far away region of nullsec... providing you can get there. But this isn't the main role and will end in tears more often than not, so just stick to lowsec solo roams
My quest for better rigs for this ship goes on, and as it stands Extenders get the highest EHP and as such they stay.
I should also mention when I renew my subscription I will be pestering my pal with shit hot rorq skills to conduct some SiSi tests to check its tank in FD-MLJ and will be inviting all Battleclinic members to the occasion when it occurs. Bring pie and pods -

also after a little EFT, it seems to be better having garde II's. Also take out one shield rig and put a sentry damage aug to boost your garde damage. Now clocking 710 dps. Just a thought, its what im doing on mine anyways. -

Yeah ANPs don't work on cap reppers so it figures the OpSol (That them?) rigs don't either. Oh well, in that case Extenders stay :V -

He got poped a few gates away, but I didn't show up on the KM.
If I ever try again, I'll be having a rapeier in tow. I doubt anything will burn within 10km for me to web so I'd need a way to hold things in place.
But latley I've been busy compressing ore with the Rorqual (you know, what the ship was meant to do?) so I doubt I'll try again soon. -

Fair enough... only thing is I doubt they've get into scram range which is why the point is there. but Surely if you neuted him enough his MWD would've cut out? -

Ohh it cut out, but you can't shut of the normal engines by neuting. Pretty much everything is still faster than a Rorqual, so you need your target to enter web range, or have somone hold the damn thing for you. -

Just incase anyone is wondering, this isn't a very bright idea. lol
But this thread made me want to try and get a KM with the Rorq, and since It almost got ganked a few months back, I thought I'd push my luck. I don't have any actual plans to try again soon, seeing as its actually doing its job, and will be for at least the next month or two. -
