Drop the plate so you can fit proper sized guns. Get more resist modules on there, no need for a Damage Control. Fit an afterburner.

Better yet, get a Vexor, since you won't be wasting one of the bonuses on that hull.

You should try this instead, don't fit a DCU or plate for missions (you are trying to tank dps not hope your buffer will get you through the mission). I put the 3 CCC's since I'm guessing your cap skills aren't great and the dual 150mm's are their since your fitting skills are low to I assume, obviously change to bigger guns if you can but 150's will do until you can fit better guns. Change the hardeners to mission specific to increase your survivability.

I will be sorting out the dps on the 125s by skills very soon, as soon as I get my cap skills better. I'm also getting drone skills up atm. I have also found that the plating helps me alot in missions where I'll take alot of damage. Once i got to half armor, with it on. If I didn't have it on, I would of had to warp out. This set-up is also good for helping with fleets on level 2-3 missions, just for taking the aggro, atleast I hope it will.

And I've spent to much on this Thorax to get a Vexor now, I'll soon be going too a Brutix, or a Myrmidom.

Noooooo, stay with cruisers until you get better fitting skills, damage skills, cap skills and tank skills before moving up a ship class. I learned that one the hard way :(
