Using a 4th shield relay instead of the damage control will give you more tank while using t1 rigs than this fit will.

Also I'm going to assume this is for tanking 0.0 guristas plex as it is way over tanked for lvl 4's. Suggest you use a core probe launcher, tractor beam or salvager in your extra high slot.

Btw in the future you should include the stats of the ship with all lvl 5 skills so that people can easily compare fits. Using 4 relays on this setup with t1 rigs with your damage profile gives 1346 defense, 1633 with t2 rigs.

Let's start with a run down of how to post a fit so BC users dont hate you.

1. Include stats at all LVL V.
This ensures easy comparison and makes our lives easier.

2. If it's not all pimped, t2 rigs are probably not the way to go.
t2 rigs can be extremely costly and will almost always ensure a -1 for some.

3. Damage mods are awesome. Use them.
These puppies boost damage AND Rate of Fire. How is that not awesome? Use them, particularly on pve fits after you've hit Minimum Tank Requirements(tm).

4. Really big tanks and really bad dps isn't good unless you're running level Vs.
Needs more damage mods.

5. Specify what the fit is for. Guristas plexes? missions? ratting?
All of these will help us fix or help your fit. A ratting tank is far, far lower than a level four tank.

6. It's a passive fit. It better damn well be cap stable.
Dont include worthless information.


Oh, most of the reviewers have seen about 12 thousand, give or take a few hundred, passive drakes.

Look up fits before posting. If you can't add anything new to the field, dont post it, though we will gladly help you with your mission boat if you really need help.

Hi, I didn't know people actually looked through these. 

I appreciate the tip on the extra shield power relay.  Looks much better now.  Also, I didn't even realize the price on the shield purgers.  Probably would never pay that much for those. 

Listed the stats for level 5 for anyone who might be interested.  While this is publicly available, my goal was not the approval of everyone who viewed it.  Was making this available to someone who does not use EFT. 

I did not fit for max output dps because I wanted this to be a pure tanking ship.  Other person I play with provides dps well.  Of course as I do missions with this, I will balance defensive dps needs of the mission with offensive dps. 

I intentionally made the cap stable for my skill level.  If I were to use more dissipation (which would provide more resists) instead of deflection amplifiers, the cap would have become unstable at my skill level. 

While I appreciate the input, I probably won't respond to any more posts unless anyone has more good suggestions.  Thanks.

Honestly, this is a terrible loadout. Way, WAAAAY overboard on the tank. I live in a fully upgraded gurrista system and dualbox drakes in sanctums and with everything on one drake I rarely drop below 50% shields with my setup while pumping out 552 DPS with all level 5 skills.

With my actual current skills I have over 600 dps tank against gurristas and 427 dps with drones. A respectable T2 drake should never be under 400 dps.

You really only need a tank this good to hold off sanctums, and if you're running sanctums in a single drake you're  :censored: ing retarded anyway. This will destroy anything gurista from haven down and will eat belt rats for breakfast. There's no reason to fit a drake to tank 1600 dps, ever.  You aren't going to be tanking The Maze in a drake, and you're absolutely stupid to run level 4s in a drake with less than 300 dps, you kill your isk/hour rate pretty bad when you don't fit some BCSs.
