This thrasher is extremely powerful and will kick anything within 20km easily. makes level 1 missions easy, can do some level 2's. have done a level 3 storyline once (yes it was a kill one)

I have a recorded hit of 470 odd :) and yes the 280mm are small guns.

very high cpu and pg requirements. can someone tell me if its possible to fit a second gyrostab?

    This setup is very similar to the one i use for L1 missions...only difference is that I've got my t2 arty skills nearly maxed so i have two PDS2's in the lows...The Blockade is a snore-fest that involves me sitting in one spot, picking each of the rats off one at a time with one-shot kills...i use Depleted Uranium S instead of the EMP...but I do keep a couple hundred EMP in the cargo for dealing with structures...

    You should be able to fit both low slots with gyrostabs if you have decent fitting skills, and to be honest, if you need a destroyer to run lvl 1's then you're hurting a bit.  It took me a day and a half of casual missioning to get to lvl 2's, and I was able to get a bunch of them done in a Rifter with T1 gear.
    Other than that, it's a pretty standard fit.  I'd suggest tossing a web in the mids instead of the shield resists, it will help you pop anything that gets too close easier.  And, you should be able to kill 2 to 3 ships at a time.
    Lock multiple ships and use 4 guns per ship.  Faster and more ammo efficient than using all 8 on a single ship (unless it's a cruiser sized ship)
    Your whole tank should be focussed on damage instead of regen.  An AB to keep range instead of a shield extender will keep you on the edge of optimal better, and use the shield booster as an emergency device when you need to warp out (for lvl 2's)
    Honestly though, I think an Arty Rifter will handle lvl 2's better with an armor tank and it's smaller sig, or just bump up to a Rupture for AFK fun.

    i just use it for fun. i have my fitting skills just about maxed out so without a rig i am not sure how i am sposed to fit a second gyrostab 2. the only skill i dont have maxed out is adv weapon upgrades which is at level 4. i have updated the booster to t2 but as i am having trouble with updating ship setups here on battleclinic i am not going to even bother trying.
