Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

Cap ships were always on the back of my mind but after having some nice profits lately I started to train for them because well i dont want to spend a billion in a faction ship/golem that is only usable in one situation.
After some carefull consideration what type of ship to take I ended up with a carrier. Reason for this is that a carrier sees a bit more action compared to a dread and they can jump further and can be used in more situations (triage anyone?), thus making them more effective in my opinion.

To cut things short, this is for now how i'm going to fit my futere cap ship. ofc a carrier is made for support so you have to fit some rr and energy transfer. I didn't bother with a drone-link because repping adds more value if it can keep alive another battleship doing way more dps then an extra fighter. Local tank isn't overdone but not to low either, when having proper support another relay would be usefull but since the corp i'm currently flying in doesnt have a lot of cap pilots I need to use some sort of local tank while waiting for backup. Tanks about 4000 dps for 55 mins. Not stable, but if you're not able to clean the field in that time you'l proly die anyways :)

K feedback plz..

    looks fine

Looks ok but you mentioned triage and you do need a triage module for that which will need a high slot.  Also you will need to train logistics cruisers to use it just so you're aware.  I would drop the smartbomb to fit the triage module when you need it and for a second neut when you don't.

As for local tank you're fine as is may even want to drop and EANM for another cap power relay and replace one of the cap rechargers with a warp disruptor (faction possibly) to keep a bs fleet honest.

Also don't forget to pack drones other than fighters you can easily get a good mix of drone sizes in a bay that big.

With current DD rules if there is any possibility a dread or carrier is going to see null-sec i would use pretty much T2 fitting as you've done here.  Faction/deadspace gear just ramps up the lossmail if you get DDed.

Well I mentioned triage but tbh when looking at the triage fits out there I think I will need a complete refit (lose sensor boost + more cap) so I didnt include the mod in this fit. Besides I want to train the carrier first and then add triage later since it uses logistics anyways i'm planning to add a decent logistics cruiser to my training too ;)
Thanks for the tips and hints anyways

Triage carriers are fit completely different from normal carriers. For fleet work this would do fine
