Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

nice fit, I got one liek this but with collision accelerator instead of nanobot rig

I preffer warrior II to hobs but that's personnal choice. +1 :)

You're posting useless cap stats. You won't be anywhere stable with the mwd on. Post cap stats with everything but the mwd.

Anyways, looks fine to me. +1

It is a standard fit, but since the name is so clear, it is worth to rank it. A similar one is the "warlord hurricane", that could have been the label of any kind of cane.

+1 for one of the best cane-fits in the game.
  • February 09, 2010, 09:12:25 am

thanks for the +1's...and mad hops i'll take that into consideration next time i post.

I tend to be partial to the armor buffer 'cane, but I do like this fit alot. I never really considered active fitting it, but seems like it'd get the job done for sure! What kind of DPS tank we talking here? Approximately that is.
  • February 09, 2010, 11:03:26 am

with both reppers going its about 832 armor back every 7 seconds or so with one its about 416...the actual eft defence rating is 323(400ish when overloaded.)

Drop a med neut to a small and you can upgrade guns.  Since you are active tanking, the the reduced drain from the small neut as compared to a med neut is helpful.
  • February 09, 2010, 09:09:49 pm

you dont run those things non stop...you run em till the enemies tank and guns stops work'n then you shut one of em off so your cap injector can keep up...i see what your saying though...also the larger guns have tracking issues when moving fast.
  • February 10, 2010, 05:37:00 am

This is almost exactly how I fit my Cane.  I love this, +1
  • February 11, 2010, 01:57:37 am

the neut will eat the cap

you have a web and scram, things aren't moving too fast from you and a larger gun BC is going to have a nice advantage.  220's will struggle to hit frigs if they are trying to not get hit anyway, so go 425's. the boost in damage is very noticeable.
  • February 13, 2010, 01:11:30 am

i know the boost in damage is nice(trust me i've got other fits that use em)but with whats on this fit atm, if i switched to 425's i'd be over 200 on the powergrid...now i could switch one of the nuets to a small...but i dont think it'd be worth it.

This may be a dumb question, but I need to know.  Why energy destabilizers instead of dual NOS?

This may be a dumb question, but I need to know.  Why energy destabilizers instead of dual NOS?

Neuts can get you out of trouble. You can cap out interceptors and warp away. You can break an enemy's tank. A nos works by draining cap ONLY if your enemy has more cap than you. You will never drain them all the way down. The cap received won't be much. Overall, neuts are more effective...
  • March 01, 2010, 10:46:53 pm

Ahh, thank you, it all makes sense now.  I was thinking of NOS the wrong way, it is more to help your cap than it is to drain your enemies.

    where'd the -1 come from?
