Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

So I've been playing around and this is what I plan to fit, just waiting for the skills to get here. Possibly slightly over-tanked, I'll see how I go when I start the missions, if it is I'll switch the DC for another heat sink. Eventually when I get the isk I'll upgrade to navy repairer and heat sinks. I know the cap booster isn't liked, but I can get near-abaddon performance for 80mil less (when I have the cash I'll get the baddon) and I figure I'll lose only 300k isk per mission (depending on length). Also, I can fit a med remote repairer for fleet work and nearly be cap stable. Add whatever drones suit your fancy.

As is (lvl 5 skills),
Dmg 601 @ 15km (multi), 676 with 3 HS
Tanks 712 dps vs sansha, over 900 with navy repairer
All cap stable with 800 charges

so...no. go look at how some other did their missions 'geddons before posting what you "want" to fly. and why are you even mentioning fleet work, which would only mean pvp on your planned pvE ship?

You will get more damage with beam lasers past 25km until you can use t2 large pulse.

I also suggest that you swap the damage control for a cap power relay, so you're less reliant on cap boosters.

I have looked at other people's geddons. Seems a waste to me to spend half your tank (because you need cap relays to keep it stable), half your mids (rinse repeat), and all your rigs when it could be doing better things than trying to get me a decent cap, which is what most other geddon fits seem to be.

Medium rep is for fleet pve, its nice to solo but lvl4s go much faster in groups, and theyre more fun. Also I have a dedicated salvage BC so no reason for tractor beams/salvager.

I've looked at the dual energy beams as well, damage is quite low up close compared to the pulses. I suppose I'll swap them according to missions. Cap relay isnt a bad idea, like I said I'll see how I go with the DC, but I'm probably overtanked.

    Nice idea.

I do agree, lvl4's are more fun in groups. Everyone I ran with could solo 4's so remote rep was never needed. dedicated salvage/loot boat IS a good idea, we ran one on an alt account.
