Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

This is fit which I use to clear anomalies in 0.0 space with sansha rats. It is designed to dish out high dps, employing philosophy "dead rat needs no tanking". I can be used solo, but you need to manage range and cap consuption wisely or you can use a second ship(alt)to transfer energy to it. With 3x Medium Energy transfer from Augoror is Abaddon capstable. Crystals covers whole range up to max targeting range of the ship

Stats with my skills:

706 DPS at 33+24km with multifreq.
530 DPS at 58+24km with ultraviolet
(without drones)

826 multifreq. and 649 ultraviolet DPS with hammerheads II

tanks 344 EM/Therm DPS

Capacitor holds for 2m12s wit multis, 4m1s with ultraviolets(repper on)

4m4s with multi, 54% stable with ultraviolets(repper off)

Capstable with 3x Medium energy trasnfer with all runing and multifreq. crystals

PULSES FFS. needs more tank and a tracking computer too.
  • February 08, 2010, 03:50:17 pm

Doesn't need more tank, but does need Pulses with a tracking enhancer instead of that power diagnostic, also then drop the two ACR's for two more CCC's

Confirmed it myself on the top level Sansha anomalies, it will be fine.

I like the dps/range ratio of the tachyon. With pulses you need AB or you will be shoting with low dps high range crystals most of the time. Also, with pulses, AB and 3x CCC rig, it has very similar cap (un)stability as tachyon fit, but you need to keep AB and guns runnig most of the time which means higher capacitor stress. Tachyons allows you to destroy most of the rats before they get within their optimal and hit you, so dont need to run repper permanently. This fit combines high dps and high range.

Once you go past 40km(where most sansah BS engage) pulse with scorch do more DPS than tachs with Xray.

Not to mention they have superior tracking.

Only when you factor in a tracking comp are tachs better than pulse, would be a good idea to fit one.
