Dagan is the last guy you fight in the Epic Arc series of missions with the Sister's of Eve Bureau. You start in Arnon and go through a lot of missions. Like I said I've only been playing about a month. I finished all three starter career paths and then they told me to go see this woman in Arnon for some more missions and I did. I guess this must be something they made for new players to the game to do which might explain why some of you seem to have no idea what I'm talking about which kind of surprises me. Anyway I've read around on some forums and many people have said that they give the impression that these missions are easy for newbs to do when they should actually wait until they are running level two missions. I have no problems with level 1 encounters with this fit. Sorry but it seems odd to me that experienced players would not know about the epic arc missions, but then again I guess it shows how much is going on in this game.

Here is a link explaining epic arc missions

Here is a link to an article some guy did who reviewed the missions.

W/E anyway...I'm moving on. I'm sure I'll finish this stuff eventually. One thing is for sure I doubt I'll be using this resource ever again.

sorry, I never bothered with lvl 1 arcs.  ok, here ya go.  shield ext. no good for pve, get rid of them.  fit a med. sb, 1mn ab, web, inv. field.  get rid of one nos, drop down to 7x 75mm scout cannon.  first rule in eve.  smaller guns work better on small ships.  let me know if you don't understand or how that worked out. gl

If you're unable to kill a rat with railguns I would suggest swapping to blasters. Closing range might prove to be a problem so an afterburner or a web will help a lot in this.

The shield extenders (especially small) don't do much without modules backing them up, of which you have none. Keep the shield booster but get some resists, passive or active depending on your skills. If cap is an issue fit rechargers but replace the nos' for turrets, any DPS you can get is good, and if you can kill IT, before IT can kill you, then bingo, you're golden.

I'm not a great pilot, and tried several ships with different configurations.  Here's what I finally beat Kritsan Parsuth with in Sister Alitura's epic arc mission.

ship = Cormorant

High: 125mm Light Prototype I Automatic Cannon (x7) with Phased Plasma S (thermal)
Mid: Small Shield Extender II (x2), Stasis Webifier I, and Additional Thermal Barrier Emitter I
Low: 400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plate I (+1,050 armor hp).

Note that getting rid of his 'associates' first is necessary and can be done with a frigate and less weaponry.  I then switched to the Cormorant (destroyer) for several reasons: the fight with Kritsan is a slugfest (for a newbie like myself, at least, only having played about 3 weeks).  I first tried 125mm railguns from 24-37km and was able to get through his shield but he kept repairing his armor, so I knew I had to get inside his effective range and drain his power, and exposing myself to his massive missile damage.  I also tried using pulse beam lasers in short range but he kept draining my capacitor, so I switched to the above weapons which require little capacitor.  One time I was getting too effective from range so he ran away from me and I could not catch him with my 1MN AB.  So I fit my Cormorant as described above and got inside his effective range.  Get between 1km and 4km.  He tries to get away from you so you have to web him, and drain him so he can't repair.  I used an orbit of 1000m.  (The fittings cost a bunch, but I'll sell them now to recover my investment)

currently doing it in a Kestrel...

4 Limos launchers.  took out all but 1 rookie while heading for Kritsan, set orbit to 500 and we left the other rookie behind in a couple of mins.

From what I have figured out EM is the best damage against him.   just into his hull now, been about 15 mins.   I have active shield tanking and only enough missile skills to shoot them... so seems a good setup for a frigate.

wow... well just finished it... that took a while all up.

he kept armor repairing. But i kept hitting my afterburner and shield boost even though i didnt have to and he could not get any energy from my cap.

so he stopped repairing as much then it was all easy.

So I've only been playing eve for around 20 days. I was able to get Kritsan Parthus with a similar fit only instead of a small shield extender I, I had a stasis webifier fitted, but it was a really really really long battle. I waited a couple days to train some more skills for my turrets and thought I'd give it a go. We basically were at a stand still for a few hours. He never really did any damage to me, but I never got his shield more than halfway gone and after going through about 6000 rounds of antimatter I ended up deciding I will either need some help or will have to wait a few weeks before I try it again. I know this is definitely not a good fit for taking on Dagan, but how is this otherwise? This may not be a good fit. I don't know. I Would appreciate suggestions on where to go from here.
