Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

You realise that with an oversized MWD on there any intie will be running rings around you?

Even with all lvl 5 skills you have an align time of like 18 and a half secs, you'll probs never manage to get anywhere near that 4.7 km/s while trying to orbit.

Also, most inties are built to tackle outside web/scram range (for obvious reasons), so with your max range of under 6km with guns and 6.6 with the nos, coupled with your amazing lack of agility (and web/scram), I doubt this thing would even get close to an interceptor, never mind kill one.
The exception may be a blasteranis, but with 3k ehp on this thing one of those would probs take you out before you got through shield...

    mm these is fairly pointless.

But for the shake of argument I must say that for fun I did got me a coercer t2 fited best as I could think of as a anti inti weapon once and I got scared how good I did :) anyway here's the fit. Remember yes you can kill intis easy with it but in 0.0 ho many are actually alone :D

Rig slots I leave up to you.

I wish ccp would give destroyers some love as a better anti inti weapon. Maybe some spec t2 one donno.

Nah, i thought i would share my joy with the rest of the eve community, and if if u have the money why not go blow it on this thing, i personally would have a blast just flying this thing.
  • July 11, 2009, 07:27:14 pm

Not sure how much joy there is in spending 110 mil on a destroyer with very little dps and no agility.

It doesn't even have the tank to be able to run away well...

Also I'm still confused as to what part of this makes it an inty killer?

Going at 4500 m/s in straight line isn't going to help much, nor is forgoing the tracking and range bonuses the ship gets by fitting ACs rather than lasers. It has no tackle, and to run that MWD you've wedged in there it needs the nos to be on, which they won't be, cos nothing but a 'ranis or 'sader is going to come that close, and if they do, you'll be dead before you notice the cap difference. :(
