Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

Not a bad fit at all mate. That little beast should kick out crazy DPS. Your mids are A-ok. Active repping may/may not work depending on the situation you find yourself in (fear neuts). I'd drop the nano for energized adaptive nano plating II or a damage control, those extra resists make a huge difference to your tank. You could mebbe even lose the stabilizer for another resistance module but that's purely optional.

Sorry but it doesnt fit.  Your close though.  Just need to adjust some problems.  1st dont mix your guns,  this was your major downfall on this fit.  A full rack of Ion IIs should do the trick, and leave you room to swap out the nano for a EANM II.  mainly cos your sig radius is that large the nano doesnt help at all... Try the below fit on for size :)

Edit - Also dont forget the Drone, it adds dps however small it may be.  Hobgob II should do it or Warrior II for speed if you prefer it.  :P

Also to add to that, you say you dont want to be vulnerable, but catalyst seriously has no tank, and you would be better off subsituting the small rep for a 200mm plate to survive for a few extra seconds.  If your serious about pvp i would consider stepping down to fast frigates then work your way upto cruisers and avoid destroyers all together unless you like flying glass cannons :)
  • July 03, 2009, 09:40:47 pm

thanks so much for the advice..alomar why would you choose Ion blasters over Neutron?---and the reason for destroyer over cruisers or frigs is because I'm the only one in the eve galaxy that flies one haha

Ions due to power grid.  theres a program called EFT (eve fitting tool) which can be downloaded from this site which helps you make your loadouts.

christ krinkles thats such a glass cannon it probably takes damage from recoil on all those freaking neutron cannons. if i had to run a catalyst, id use 2 magstabs and then add something else. maybe a reactor control so i can add a ab or something. speeds important too where glass cannons are concerned
