Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

    *hides from the scary ship*

If I plus 1 this, will you promise not to hurt me with it...?
  • June 16, 2009, 04:38:49 am

there's nothing wrong with this fit.  you will have trouble hitting anything smaller than a battleship, but at least with the propulsion mod you're able to stay mobile and keep the range you want vs other bs.

normally I would recommend no propulsion mod, simply 2 webs, injector, and point.  but i guess that's been done already in battleclinic.
  • June 16, 2009, 04:44:28 am

^^^ Just in case that comment was for me, I was complimenting it by calling it scary, hehe - and that +1 IS from me :)
  • June 16, 2009, 05:14:59 am

Nice ship, not cap stable according to my eft.  I am a pretty good Amarr pilot and I am only getting 1m 47s of cap.  If you ditch the MWD then yeah.  Personally I never put tackle on a BS.  With the amount of Firepower you got on this and with a mwd you could just bump him once and pop him.  Just my thoughts.
  • June 16, 2009, 05:22:05 am

    good setup

    +1
  • June 16, 2009, 07:08:38 am

Nice going, i'd put eccm instead of sebo though. +1 either way (if I manage to vote this time.. doesn't seem to work for me with the new webpage layout).
  • June 16, 2009, 07:29:56 am

    ECCM is situational :D
  • June 17, 2009, 03:43:59 pm

It's a perfect brawler. Top drawer! Only an RR needed for a perfect fleet brawler. +1
  • June 17, 2009, 03:49:33 pm

Similar to the way I fitted mine, though I don't run solo. +1
  • June 22, 2009, 08:00:10 am

Not bad.  I would suggest a scram/web instead of the sebo.  Your buffer is a little weak, but your resists should be decent.
  • June 23, 2009, 09:04:49 pm

    wats the range?
  • June 23, 2009, 11:37:13 pm

nice setup struyk, though very similar ones are all over BC...   still, "very similar" isn't "the same", so + from me
  • June 24, 2009, 12:22:38 am

I like it very much. I'd deffinitly look forward to this if I was an Amaar pilot.
  • July 04, 2009, 04:38:23 am

What do you use it for?
  • July 06, 2009, 05:31:08 am

I'm guessing its a pvp ship, since it has a warp distruptor. Decent fit mate, getting 1+ from me.
  • July 06, 2009, 12:29:05 pm

Nice fit but if its for pvp i sugest you remove 1 heat sink and put Large Armor repair system II and remove one 1600 plate and EANM I and replace them with 2 EANM II, replace 2 Trimark armor Pupp I for 2 Auxiliry nano pump I if you dont have enough powergrid i suggest that you swap those 8 Mega Pulse laser II with Dual Heavy Pulse Laser II you will have 5% less dmg but you wil have good dps and use Gleam L teh II ammo you will have lots of dps with it but your range will be cut to half... for senseor busterr use ECCM becouse there will be some falcon in enemy side fleet....don't remove MWD , cap booster and warp disruptor il give you +1 for this fit =)

I basically disagree with everything you just said

active repper on a fleet abaddon...   cause he has too much cap right?   the EANM isn't t1, it's faction, which is better than a t2 and easier to fit...   replacing a plate with an eanm2 will be a net loss in HPs

speaking of net loss, dropping trimarks for anps is again not very useful in a fleet ship where EHP is the only thing that counts (less chance of getting alphad).

and then you start alking about using gleam and I lose interest entirely

ECCM is useful instead of a SB if it fits easily, which it doesn't, so keep it as is
  • July 09, 2009, 07:52:41 am

This is a pretty pimp fit bro. +1 for me
  • July 13, 2009, 06:38:21 am

Just wondering what would happen if you'd switch out one of those heat sink's for another EANM?

  • July 13, 2009, 06:50:38 am

You lose about 100 dps and gain 30k ehp.
  • July 22, 2009, 06:29:23 pm

Since he is soloing, i guess i would keep the loadout as is personally, and if your in a gang, I might swap the hs for a EANM - jus because the extra buffer helps when you are being primaried by their gang until your buddies are able to get neutin webbin jammin or watever.
  • July 23, 2009, 02:27:46 am

+ from me, but use t2 100MWD and best named Heavy capacitor booster. I think that's better combination.
  • July 24, 2009, 08:10:17 am

Now that is fairly scary, and i like the sebo, it gives you an edge over thoe turds that try to jam u
  • July 25, 2009, 09:13:32 pm

How long does a typical PvP engagement last?  This fit is 100% reliant on the cap booster (with 800's) and only 5 can be loaded... (otherwise it's got ~2 mins 20s before it's dry and that's without the micro warp running).

  • July 26, 2009, 12:22:17 am

Yesterday I killed 2 domi's and a nighthawk, took about 4-5 minutes. I had slave set and trimarks tough and 40-45% armor left after the fight :)
  • July 26, 2009, 12:36:04 am

Why is is using a tech one MWD when the tech 2 fits?
  • July 26, 2009, 03:43:15 am

^^^ Maybe because the T1 gives the same speed boost, without the 6mill pricetag, hehe. Though the cap penalty is less with a T2, so it might be a good investment for a ship that relies on Cap for gun operation.
  • July 26, 2009, 03:50:55 am

I was thinking about his cap issues. And it isn't exactly a cheap loadout.
  • July 26, 2009, 04:10:15 am

^^^ Yeah, i was mostly joking, though i do always balk at paying such a price for those MWD's - i dont know much about manufacturing T2 items, but is that price REALLY justified??!
  • July 27, 2009, 03:46:16 am

someone appears to have tagged this loadout pve :/
  • July 27, 2009, 02:12:08 pm

I think there needs to a challenge system for the tags. Something like if someone has tagged something people can call bull and if twice as many people untag it as tagged it, then it doesn't show up in that search.
  • July 27, 2009, 02:27:10 pm

I'd use a t2 or named MWD, 'cuz you can use every bit of help you can get with cap. Other than that A+ fit. +1 from me.
  • July 27, 2009, 02:28:27 pm

    +1 nice
  • July 27, 2009, 02:38:11 pm

    Epic fit +1
  • July 27, 2009, 05:15:08 pm

  • August 17, 2009, 08:48:49 am

    Pack some Scorch though.
  • August 19, 2009, 10:54:20 am

-1 gun, +1 heavy neut and perfect. I'm afraid it will be too easy to pin down with small tackle without the neut.
  • August 20, 2009, 06:20:21 am

Do want!  Good job a pvp battleship I can dig.  Stay about 15 km away out of web/scram range of other close combat BS.  And if they do lock horns with You You can still kill the crap out of em.
  • August 22, 2009, 02:52:22 pm

could you put a better mwd? not t2, because that would be on here if it fit, but a higher meta-level mwd? it should give you a bit more speed and less cap use, plus less fitting reqs.

I may not know what I am talking about but for the Heat Sink II it says that,

"Penalty: Using more than one type of this module or similar modules that affect the same attribute on the ship will be penalized."

So wouldn't having three not do as much good as just a single one?

    No.
More is still better. It's just that each one adds less than the last. 3 is usually as far as people go since the third adds around 60% while the fourth only adds like 30%.

No, the effectiveness of each module is penalized.

    Module Stacking Effectiveness:
    1 – 100%
    2 – 86.9119980800%
    3 – 57.0583143511%
