How to fund this loadout with PLEX:

Current estimated total value, ISK: 7,264,969
Sell this many PLEX* to fund: 1
Convert this many ETC to PLEX: 1 Purchase ETC here

*You may only sell PLEX for ISK via the CCP Secure Transfer Method
You need to upgrade your Flash Player
Just read through several Setups. After I lost my Rupture and although I have a new one, I realized that it might be a better idea for a beginner to setup a Rifter that\'s competitive and at the same time relatively cheap. So a kill doesn\'t hurt that much.

Barrage S, RepFl. EMP S and RepFl. Fusion S in the Cargo....

EDIT: Cold-Gas implemented

EDIT: Added the F85 Peripheral Damage System. Frome time to time I swap it for a Gyro!

EDIT: Updated it with Rigs.... Went for what our weapons are best: Act from a bit range to use the falloff bonus and increase the dps for gank!

By the way. Which skills do I have to train to reduce powergrid and CPU to be able to fit a Nosferatu on this ship?

The speed tank is the primary concern. Perhaps replacing the plate with a nanofiber hull upgrade or an overdrive injector would be smart?

train electronics and engineering, as well as weapons upgrades and advanced weapons upgrades...as well as all the other fitting skills, you'll find they help quite alot.  :smitten:

if you're running a rep you're armor tanking right?  Put a DCU on. just in case you hit hull you have a little more time to get that repper back up with 50% resists to hull.  we're talking seconds here but thats the nature of frig combat.  rather a few second on hull than zero.

and dont forget to overheat those guns!

You can swap the NOS with a NEUT (was in this loadout before) or a Rocket Launcher as well as the DC for a gyro. But this setup works well in duels, even 'gainst older Chars: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=7079066

Wanna give a thumbs up then? ;)

Used a similar setup before, and they are scarily powerful even with a full T1 fit. Still....I'd swap the NOS for a rocket, purely cause you dont really wanna tackle anything bigger that another frig, and a 1v1 frig fight isnt gonna last long enough that you'll do any real damage to their cap.

Still +1 for it, great basic setup.

P.S. replacing the web for a Tracking Disruptor really can ruin someone's day, my 60m Crusader lost to a rifter with one....Luckily his AB burnt out, couldnt catch...somthing to think about

I use a slightly cheaper nos but this is exactly the same fit as mine.

Works wonderfully against pretty much any ship out there. Against BCs which can carry up to 10 light drones, this can sometimes pull through with just the 'basic' skills. If you have slaves (LG or HG) then you stand a much better chance and will often have no trouble in eliminating 2 flights (obviously if the pilot has high drone skills this will still be pushing it though).

The most wonderful thing about this is that it's about 5-6m to replace and can be transported in large numbers if you fancy a trip to other side of EvE.

similar to the fit i use for my PVP rifter, exept all the low slots help its turning and speed, i can get to arround 1000m/s so none of the big ships are able to hit me, removing the need of armour repper and armour plates

I would like to second what hickabooboo said about the tracking disruptor. Use the tracking speed script and with some maneuvering you can get under a larger ships guns and tackle em. Considering the scram will kill their mwd anyway the web maybe unnecessary.

I suppose it depends who you fight but td's are really nice on a small ship. Just avoid neut/drone boats if you can help it.

The same basic support skills will help flying any ship. In no particular order:
Cap skills: energy management and energy systems operation
Gunnery support: rapid firing, trajectory analysis, motion prediction, gunnery, controlled bursts (ok, not for this ship but it's good to have), surgical strike, sharpshooter (again this doesn't really apply to this ship but train it anyway)
Fitting: engineering, electronics, weapon upgrades, advanced weapon upgrades, energy grid upgrades, electronics upgrades, shield upgrades
Navigation: navigation, evasive maneuvering, afterburner, high speed maneuvering, acceleration control
Overheating: thermodynamics, nanite operation, nanite interfacing
Boosters: nanite control (this one is expensive), neurotoxin recovery
Durability: mechanics, hull upgrades, shield management
Drones: drones, scout drone operation, drone interfacing (not this ship, but applies to basically every ship larger than a frigate)

If you enjoy pvp in eve you're going to want to get almost every one of these skills to 5 at some point. The only ones that don't absolutely need to be maxed are the booster and overheating ones. Thermo 5 is very nice though. I probably forgot some so expect edits or someone pointing out something I missed.

Say that when you cap out trying run the rep while killing the drones, losing the tank, tackle and speed advantage.

Wow, I'd never run that vs a Cruiser myself, but I guess if it's cheap then it's good :)

I'm guessing he didnt have a web then, and the drones couldnt catch up?

I still dont like rigging T1 frigs. It just feels wrong, somehow.

And on second thought, it doesnt really matter what you have in that last high slot. You're gonna kill things so quick anyway :)

I've taken down BC's solo with this. One was a Hurricane with 2 webs but couldn't hit (I ransomed this one for a nice 120m as he was faction fit and this was before the rig change).

Fitting rigs to a Rifter is imo very worth it. You can often build them yourself for a fraction of the market price and will give that little extra advantage. I suggest using 2 Collision rugs as it helps a bunch when dealing with light drones and doesn't cause you burn through ammo so fast (ammo is the only thing expensive in the Rifter. 1000 rounds of RF EMP per roam can add up)

Depending on what you're hunting, the last high slot is valuable. If fighting Cruisers I use a nos so I can run the rep and AB at the same for as long as possible. If fighting Frigates I would most likely use a rocket launcher.

With my skills 1 min, 26 seconds.

You shouldn't need a huge amount more than 30-40 seconds unless you're fighting Frigs as you only really need the repairer to kill off drones.

Also, if you need more power greed, you can learn  Projectile Weapon Rigging up to 3 level to reduce their drawback.

If you train to fit this, this Rifter is good for any type of PvPer (experience wise). I've been using this fit and taken out other frigs, cruisers, destroyers. It's just awesome, I did try the highest rank fit but it just didn't do it for me. In a gang I'd prolly go out in the more damage fit rifter, but as far as soloing is concerned this is the best fit I've tested yet, and its a keeper! Costs me about 5mil to fit.

Web those drones and kill 'em....

+1 Bro, and my first comment and +1 given to you. ^_^

Edit: Also it's a great stepping stone to get into a Wolf. Pretty much (not exactly) fit the same way. Just train up a bit more for Wolf, fly around in your rifter while you wait =]

    Using a Nos?

Why didn't I think of that, that solves all of my problems. +1
