Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

How to fund this loadout with PLEX:

Current estimated total value, ISK: 614,804
Sell this many PLEX* to fund: 1
Convert this many ETC to PLEX: 1 Purchase ETC here

*You may only sell PLEX for ISK via the CCP Secure Transfer Method
You need to upgrade your Flash Player
Just a fit for those new players who had the luck to chose the saintly amarr and want to do some missioning.

It is a cheap and very low skill loadout and people can always pick other meta level items if they (dont) got the iskies.

The salvager is optional ofcourse, but i can only encourage people training for it since salvaging is a great way of boosting income from missions.

Note for the new missioner: Dont forget putting on that damage control and armor repairer when youre missioning   ;D

Personally, I use blasters and a 200mm plate instead of the CPR, but what you did works.

you what? you use blasters on an amarr ship?

Why not?  It's not like it's missing out on a damage bonus.  It actually does more damage and (I think) uses less cap with blasters than it does with lasers.

I wouldnt use blasters or 200mm plating on a newbie missionfit because A)Amarr newbies shouldnt have blaster skills and B) i'm already spending too much time explaining people they shouldnt be using armor plates for missioning  ;)

    +1 from me

A small cushion of armor for noob's is beyond useful. It's so far beyond, you cant even see useful.

Anyway, I've seen a friend play, and noob's tend too have problems activating stuff correctly, the armor is good too make sure nothing bad happens.

Yes, an experienced missioner is better off fitting more resist/cap mods. But you said this was for noobs.

The thing with this ship, is that it has great resists already but not enough armor hp.  You can easily put 2 resistance mods (I use ANP and DCU), a plate (200mm RT), and a SAR . . . which is probably better than 3 resistance mods - on this ship, at least.  Maybe I'll post my setup today :P.

And I guess the reason I used blasters in the first place is because I'm Gallente and that's what I had skills for lol.

And sorry Stogie, I don't have the skills for AFs yet.  I'm still working on battlecruisers, but AFs are next on my list.

I'd swear there are only 2 resistance mods on my loadout :p

I think the point was more that there should be a nice, fat plate in the lows :P even though we may agree to disagree on that point.

You could drop the CPR for an adaptive plate, if you don't need the cap recharge.

Yeah i think for some people some extra armor could be nice, since newbies often dont know/or forget, to put on the DC and repper when they start a mission. But armor plating shouldnt be needed since 2 omni resistance modules also kind of increase armor hitpoints, and even with that CPR fitted this setup isnt capstable for a newbie. And changing one of the omni resistances for plating isnt a smart option either.
I added a line in my intro post that (should) elimite the need of extra plating ;)
