Open fitting in EVEHQ
You may have come across the option in various BattleClinic loadouts to "Open fitting in EveHQ" and wandered what it does and how to set it up, so I'll briefly explain.

The option in BattleClinic for opening the fitting is really just a special link which contains data about the fitting. If configured correctly, web browsers can be instructed how to respond to clicking those links such as opening a new page or starting a download. In this case, the link will ultimately show the fitting in HQF - the EveHQ Fitting plug-in.

First, we need to configure Windows to recognise the protocol (that's the part of the link that read "fitting://"). With HQF already open, go into the HQF options and select the General Options. In there, you will see a Fitting Protocol section which shows the current status of the protocol (enabled or disabled) and appropriate buttons to toggle this state. Simply click the Enable button and this should allow the fitting:// protocol to be recognised by web browsers with the status updated accordingly.

Please note that the step above writes a value into the registry and therefore you will need to have administrator rights to do this. In Vista or Windows 7, you will need to run EveHQ as Administrator for this part only.

And that's really all that's required. With the protocol status active, clicking on the links in the BattleClinic loadouts will show the fitting in a special browser window in HQF (so you can see DPS, tank etc). If EveHQ or HQF is not loaded, then these will be loaded as appropriate so the fitting can be displayed.

The fitting:// protocol has been tested and working in IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome but any issues, please let me know.

Low Cost/Skill Setup for Level 3 Missions. The main damage comes from your drones and you are not far away from using Tech II ones.

This ship tanks up to 343 dps by fitting the right hardeners. Your drones are able to operate 60km far away and the max dps is around 138 what sound a little low but is enough for level 3 missions.

By bringing Scout Drone Operation up to 5 and Gallente Drone Specialisation up to 2 you will be able to use Tech II Drones which will boost your damage.

You have more than enough tank for level threes, but you could stand for more dps.  Try and fit at least one magstab!
  • December 05, 2008, 09:49:04 am

    See what happens:

    Tank:
    343 => 257

    Damage:
    174 => 187

So your ship looses 86 dps of its tank and gains 13 dps of damage. I don't think that's a good deal.
I suggest to keep all 4 armor hardeners to stay on the secure side. Specially new players, that don't know how to handle missions like "The Blockade" or "Angel Extravaganza", will be happy to have such a thick skin.

If you want more damage, upgrade your drones & drone skills.

Nice loadout and nice posts supporting loadout. +1
  • December 06, 2008, 05:36:20 am

I agree, good minimum sp load.
  • December 06, 2008, 05:37:43 am

yes, this is a very nice rookie loadout, tell me: are you an alt?:-P
  • December 06, 2008, 05:55:41 am

    +1

    Gallente noobs rejoice!

EDIT: This loadout is also very good for noobs because it isn't using any EANM'S, so no compensation skills are required, my kind of tank!

And one other question, how cap stable is it?

EDIT NO.2: Nevermind my question, i plugged it into EFT and it's cap stable with the skills you posted as long as their repair systems skill isn't high... but they would need to get their cap skills to IV if they decided to max out repair systems
  • December 06, 2008, 05:58:29 am

That would have made a good Cheepfleet contender. +1
  • December 06, 2008, 09:23:52 am

That would have made a good Cheepfleet contender. +1

if only its wasnt fitted with meta 4+ stuff:-P
  • December 06, 2008, 12:28:20 pm

I would say 20Mil. in fittings is Cheep.
  • December 06, 2008, 01:16:01 pm

yes but against the cheapfleet rules, yes it cheap but i was reffering to the no meta4+ items rule:-)
  • December 06, 2008, 03:15:11 pm

Sounds like a really strange rule in fact that most Tech II stuff is a lot cheaper then Meta Level 4 items.

:tickedoff: rabble :tickedoff: rabble, rabble :tickedoff:
  • December 06, 2008, 04:05:38 pm

it includes meta 4's in that rule, its meta 3>

    sry if it was unclear
  • January 05, 2009, 11:35:15 am

This looks like an insanely good low sp loadout. Great work!
  • January 05, 2009, 11:42:08 am

You wont need the drone link augmentor for level 3's. Fit another rail gun. This is a very standard fit, I'm surprised the people are surprised by it.
  • January 29, 2009, 03:03:02 am

Ok this looks good but just asking can u run both reppers at once?  ??? even if u cant still thumbs up from me great fitting by the looks of it i will have to try it out
  • February 13, 2009, 08:01:17 am

With Energy Managment 3, Energy System Operation 3 and 1x Capacitor Control Circuit 1 you should be cap stable at 39% (that's what EFT says).

Or if you got the money 3x CCC1's should make it cap stable :)
  • February 13, 2009, 09:14:28 am

I'm surprised the people are surprised by it.

    Their surprise surprises you?
  • March 02, 2009, 08:25:11 am

This is awesome setup for a new player like me.  Easy on the iskies and has room for more DPS as you add skills!!! +1
  • March 02, 2009, 09:55:23 pm

this looks like mine but i have na afterburner and all t2 in lows.
  • March 07, 2009, 02:31:09 pm

Great work ! Using this fit now, going to test it. The total costed me around 50-60 M
    Thanks!
  • April 02, 2009, 04:53:29 pm

Mmm... even if it's a low sp build.. I really don't like filling every single med slot with cap rechargers
  • April 03, 2009, 12:04:12 am

    Nice 3 week necro :P

Cap rechargers are fine for this, it's a semi-afk mission-running build for people with low SP.
  • April 03, 2009, 06:00:43 am

I'm surprised the people are surprised by it.

    Their surprise surprises you?
youre surprised hes surprised by other peoples surprise?

You seem surprised to discover the source of my surprise being him being surprised by their surprise.

Any suggestions for rigs on this loadout?
  • November 03, 2009, 09:40:18 pm

I would add armor rigs, and drop some of the hardeners for Mag Stabs.

Or you could add CCC rigs and be able to dual rep non stop.
  • November 06, 2009, 01:39:56 pm

Would this loadout be able to solo sleepers in a class 1/2 Perimeter Camp, Perimeter Ambush Point.  I noticed that missions and such people compare to drake, though being Gallente and still a 'noob' to combat i don't want to end up a smoldering pile of garbage in the middle a w-space :P
  • December 08, 2009, 08:33:44 am

thanks, i plan on using something very similar for my first BC, i'm replacing a cap booster with an afterburner and adding three cap control rigs so i can run everything including the burners with a stable cap.

This may not be some great triumph of gaming theory, but simple and effective setups are very useful to newer players like me, +1
  • December 08, 2009, 08:49:42 am

Hull upgrades 4 means t2 hardeners now, please update..

Fit needs cap control rigs, an aux nano pump and an afterburner + omni tracking link maybe.
  • January 19, 2010, 02:12:56 pm

Hull upgrades 4 means t2 hardeners

No it doesn't. You need V.
