With my skills I get a speed of 6033m/s, DPS of 103 and thanks to the rigs my optimal is 15km thus keeping me just out of the range of most nasty anti-interceptor modules.

Turrets will not track you providing you never fly straight toward a target and most missile types will do no damage also.

If you are after anti-interceptor work, dropping the Capacitor Power Relay II and replacing with another Tracking Enhancer II will help greatly. The tracking as a result is pretty insane. It can happily track targets while MWDing.

Why the Capacitor Power Relay II? Basically its there to allow for the taclking of larger ships, as the extra capacitor can help give you or your gang extra time to kill the target. This is also useful when soloing, as 103dps will not kill targets very quickly and the extra time may just be the difference between warping out with no capacitor or getting the kill.

If you are feeling plush then you can splash out around 25mil for the 1mn Gisti B-Type Microwarp drive, giving you over 7000m/s. While making you better at getting into tackling range, and your orbit speed faster this will undoubtedly make losing one a little more painful. Risk vs reward though!

The rigs are the key to getting your optimal to a safe amount, and are between 6-8mil on the market at the moment. However when you make them yourself they are much less.

The spanner in the works for some of you is that this ship requires pretty good skills. Just for fitting Advanced Weapon Upgrades 4 is needed, as well as Energy Weapon Rigging to 3. If going the faction MWD route, add another level to the latter. Good capacitor skills will also help a lot but being Amarrian this shouldn't be an issue...

Enjoy.

Blackhawke667 might just get shoved out an airlock if they keep it up.

The only problem I have with this is that, at 6 km/s, your turrets are going to be like "Hit a target?  BAH!!! I don't know up from down!"  An Interceptor's role isn't to do dps, it's to get a point on a ship and be a fast locker for pods so the bigger ships have a chance to get a lock and really dish out the pain.  Transversal work both ways.  If you have yours way up, not only will the enemies turrets not hit you, your turrets won't hit anything either (we're not talking about the Zealot or Vagabond here lol  They tend to be the exception)

You'd be suprised how good the tracking is with two Tracking Enhancer IIs Blackhawke667.

As MarleWH said go Malediction for pure tackling, the Crusader can break some tanks and I intend on using its bonuses. I haven't tried out the Heatsink version yet but I will give it a go. Seems I have to drop to a named MWD and Warp Disruptor but I get 126dps. Love it.

I hope you have good implants, cause with max skills this guy is 5% over on cpu with the track enhancer and 3% over on power, you couldn't fit a second track enhancer if you wanted to

Checked you have Energy Weapon Rigging up? Not sure why you are over on both to be honest, with my skills I get 2 CPU to throw about, as well as 1.06 powergrid when I have two Tracking Enhancer IIs fitted.

I edited my post above showing how you can fit a T2 Heat sink. Both setups are very tight but doable without implants. I dislike using the implants and so I always aim to avoid it where I can.

I used maxed skills, check your implants, the lv5 skills were without implants

Standing corrected, ti does fit...wonder what I did wrong
lol...thats a mistake, put the dual light BEAMS, not PULSES >< it fits

And your cap only lasts 2m47s, you sure you can kill your target in that short amount of time?

Inties will die very quickly if they make a wrong move, T1 cruisers can be a little slower but doable. Shutting off guns temporarily can buy time but really it isn't the fastest gank in the world.

Finding a lone target without support nearby is what you want, but the great thing with speed is you can disengage if your target isn't dying. As a result you can try your luck with most things!

While testing out the ship I chewed through a destroyer and a caracal quite happily in one fight. I tried to kill a Cyclone too, and his shields fell pretty fast. Noob ratting fits granted but kills a kill and the fun is killing a larger ship than yours in what is basically a souped up Executioner.

Just think you have 126dps for 167 seconds, it can be enough for some interesting targets. Just make sure you have drones on overview, light drones can ruin your day.

Yeah it is funny how many pilots just assume they are scrammed because its an Interceptor. Taranis is a bit better suited to the trick because the dps it throws out really doesn't give you much time to realise, but the Crusader can also use the trick nicely. Seems newbies are more likely to panic warp than a more experienced PvPer.

I've even thrown on a Tracking Disruptor to help go against some of the better tracking turret ships but its only really useful in very rare situations. It isn't my standard fitting that's for sure.
