d3vo might just get shoved out an airlock if they keep it up.

Looks good. I would love to run that through a few missions.

    Just for comparison...

My Ishtar active tanks that (cap stable)

And her DPS is only slightly lower...

Ship and fittings = less than 1 mach...

You could do so much more with the ship.

Actually, tell a lie... my Ishtar active tanks that when set up for Angel missions. Against Serpentis/Guristas its 1100

Your Ishtar is really good (+1), but you are using a lot of Faction items what will make your ship really expensive (Maybe more than the Machariel).

Another strange aspect is that in my EFT this loadout doesn't fit (all L5)because of lack of powergrid. But maybe my EFT is corrupted.

Looks like a good setup for the mach....but it's easy to get the same results out of a much, much cheaper ship. I guess that's more of a problem with the faction ships then with this loadout though.

if he changes to rat specific hardeners he gets the same tankable as you and if ya drop the gyro, its 833 em/therm and 1430 explo/kin. drops the DPS to 555

edit:if you can manage T2 purgers, you get 1060 em/therm and 1740 kin/explo tankable DPS

vibora-br might just get shoved out an airlock if they keep it up.

The bottom line with the Machariel is that it gives you some versatility to have a extreme tank or a balanced loadout.

Also this BS flies at 245m/s what makes it a very fast ship for the class. It can be enough to avoid the transversal speed against anything (NPC) bigger than a Destroyer.

But I don't know if I would put my money on this bird anyway.

The Ishtar fit I use comes to a total of 720 million if everything is counted at market price.

Thats ship, modules, rigs and implant. I overdid it on the implant, used a 5% PG implant when a 3% was all I needed. Obviously I didnt pay full market price on everything (ship came from my invention/T2 production alt, implant off LP store), but gives a good indication of market value.

The Mach comes in at 775 million for the ship alone, before rigs, modules and any implants you might like to use.

The Mach does do slightly higher DPS, but the Ishtar is far faster (550 ish m/s with AB on... and the fit permaruns all active mods). While the Machariel does have a better tank when mission specific hardeners are used, I usually orbit something (either a BS, a can or some static scenery) to keep the transversal well up, with its smaller sig rad and much greater speed the transversal tanking more than makes up the difference.

The Ishtar also has another benefit that people often overlook, even with blasters fitted most of the Ishtar's DPS is still drone based, drones are not affected if NPC's jam or damp the controlling ship.

The point though isnt so much about the relative effectiveness of each ship, I will always prefer the Ishtar in PvE, its about whether its worth fitting a 775 million ISK hull in a manner that can be matched by far cheaper battleships. A Dominix can tank equally as well and outputs the same or more DPS on missions, and is a tenth of the price.

I always feel that if you are going to use a faction ship, its always worth spending at least the same as hull price on nice mods to get the best out of it.

    OmegaX has no influence.

Too out of date now. There are no launcher hardpoints on current mach. Nice concept though.
Edit: Tried it out in EFT, looks nice except that it's only got about 31min of cap. (My personal preference on mission runners is 100% Cap stable.)
    Neither + Or -.
