This is really good! My only complaint is that... there isn't really any other than MAKE CALDARI NEXT!
I especially liked how the tormentor had a "favorite food" stat

bad advice re: rockets. Even on bonused ship you get more DPS out of almost any other weapon system -

Rockets are a good noob weapon: cheap and effective. Sure you could get more DPS out of a missile, but your having to pay more, and most noobs don't have that kind of isk to throw around all the time. -

Uh, check your stats, rockets are more DPS, missles are less DPS, missles do more volley damage but do not fire as fast. try it on any t1 frig, if you can come up with a missle boat that can do more DPS with missles than rockets, id love to see itbad advice re: rockets. The real problem with rockets for newbies is that you need to get uncomfortably close to use them effectively. Until you can fit and run a proper tank, you're far better off keeping your distance and slowly plinking away at the enemy with long-range weapons. Hence the popularity of the destroyer as the first upgrade after the tutorial freebies. -

Long for frigates. Which is around 15k, ideally. Most L1 enemies can't hit you at that. -

most newbie combat happens at whatever range the npc's manage to get to.
which starts off long,then gets to medium and finally ends up short.
neat video,well done even if the music makes me think it should be the background music in tech noir from the original terminator film.
re: best weapon types,as a newbie you will mainly be using loot drops to fit your ship.I don't know about the amarr tutorials but the mimmie ones drop lots of usefull t1 gear to fit your ships with(which you get as mission rewards) the new tutorials are geared in such a way that you can start saving for your first bought ship as soon as you finish the tutorial without having to spend isk on anything for the first few days unless you truely want too.
the diffrence between diffrent weapon systems vs lvl 1 pve when your low skilled isn't worth the cross training untill you get skilled at earning good isk consistantly and are more comfortable controling your ship -

Actually the new tutorials make the introduction to eve a LOT easier, especially when it comes to getting ISK and ships. By the time I finished with the later tutorial missions (career agents) I had over 1m and a Rifter. I wish it was that easy when I had started
I also wish I'd had this guide when I started, it's useful for newer players and I'll see what I can do to spread it around if you'd like

it's natural that new players want to get into the biggest ship they can,I cant talk I've been flying battleships since 3.5 mill sp but like the chubby girls I've dated it was fun but they've never been posted on the internet.
